We have three INSET Days coming up over the next few weeks.
The first, on Monday October 1st, will see the staff discuss the school's approach to writing, along with an external consultant, Mark McCaughan. A report on the decisions taken on the INSET Day will be given to parents and carers following the day.
On Tuesday 6th November, the Lewes schools will be taking part in a shared INSET Day in which we will be exploring different ways of working in partnership. After an introductory session at Priory School, staff will break out for a series of workshops at schools across the town.
On Monday 12th November, staff from the school will be receiving training on the maths mastery approach. Two of our teachers, Mrs Lewis and Mrs Adams, have recently been accepted onto a Teacher Research Group organised by the Sussex Maths Hub and the school has access to a mastery specialist as part of the project. Again, a report on how the school is approaching the teaching of maths will follow shortly after the INSET Day.
