The PTFA

The Parent/Teacher/Friends Association is a supportive body for the school, which raises funds and organises social events.  All parents are automatically members of the PTFA and are welcome at meetings.   A committee is established at the AGM when new and old parents are encouraged to get involved.

In the past fund-raising by the PTFA has helped to raise money to go towards playground equipment, PE equipment, staging, the Owl House (which provides the school with much needed extra space), an enclosed extension to Class 1 (the conservatory), and a fenced enclosure housing a wooden Play House and sandpit.

Over the last two years, the main focus of financial support was for playground improvements, including the provision of ‘shade sails’, and the purchase of computers. Most recently, the PTFA have provided funding for the installation of stage lights in the hall.

In all its activities the PTFA aims to support the headteacher and staff in providing a happy and stimulating environment for the children.
