Some cooking fun for you today with Big Cook Little Cook as they make some Queen of Hearts Tarts.
They use ready made short crust pastry which most of you won't have in the fridge so here is a simple recipe for you.
Short Crust Pastry
Sift 225g plain flour into a large bowl add 100g diced butter and rub in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in a pinch of salt, then add 3/4 tbsp water and mix to a firm dough. Knead the dough briefly and gently on a floured surface.
