Today, we are going to start writing our second diary entry, as either Scrooge or Fred, about the events of Christmas Day .
- Re-read extract 2 and write out the events in the order in which they happened.
- Think about how the author shows the characters' viewpoints in this text.
- Use the diary planning sheet to help you plan your diary entry as either Scrooge or Fred
- Focus on vocabulary and grammar choices to develop your character's 'voice' in the diary. (Look, again, at the features of diary writing.)
If you are writing as Scrooge, think carefully about how you will show how he has changed.
