Good Morning Oak Class!

Do you realise it has been almost a week we have been working apart? I feel I'm finally getting the hang of posting on the website but not seeing you is hard. Thank you for all the delicious scone pictures you've emailed me. I'll continue to post them as they come in. If you have any other work you are proud of do email it to me, I'd love to see what you are doing.

Today's task follows the next part of Jim's story as he arrives at the workhouse with his mother. The workhouse was not a place anybody would want to be, as you will learn reading Jim's story. What you might not know is that Lewes had a workhouse once. If you fancy an extra challenge, follow the links I have given and learn about where it was and the people who lived there. If you find you have even more time why not do some extra research and teach me what you find out.
