Home Learning Week 3

Hello my lovely Elm Class and parents'.

I hope you all had a much deserved break at the weekend and were able to get outside and enjoy some fresh air.

I enjoyed watching the rain lash against my window on Saturday morning whilst I was warm and snuggly on the sofa. Luckily, the skies cleared for a while in the afternoon and I was able to go out for a lovely, brisk walk on the Downs. When I got home I had a delicious hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles 😋.

Well done for all the fantastic learning you did at home and on Teams last week. I am so proud of how hard you have all worked smiley

Every day this week I would like you to:

  • read on Bug Club
  • choose 5 spellings you aren't confident with and practise spelling them (look at fun ways to do this in the spelling folder)
  • practise your handwriting
  • watch the phonics video and do the follow up activities that are asked of you
  • do a physical activity (run outside, ride a bike, kick a ball, do a Joe Wicks workout or chose something from the PE folder)
  • go on Numbots

Additionally, there will be daily math, English and topic learning. The topic folder this term will include curriculum areas such as: science, geography, art, DT, PSHE, music, RE, and P.E.

I will look forward to seeing you on Teams at 10.30 or 11.30 each day.

Come dressed as a lion or a mouse for Monday's live English lesson on Teams.

This week:

Choose a life skill to practise.

Make yourself a cosy reading den.
