Last week the children in school created their own 'messages of hope' to those vulnerable people self-isolating in the community. Schools have been emailed by East Sussex County Council offering an opportunity for the children to be involved by designing and creating a colourful Spring card with a message of hope and good will. The intention is that the cards will be included with the deliveries of food/medicines that are delivered through the community hubs for the vulnerable and older people, who maybe feeling isolated whilst they stay in their homes.
Here are a selection of the cards that the children designed last week. It was a lovely activity sitting out in the sunshine and I was very moved by the children's messages. If you would also like to design a card for this cause at home, all you need to do is take a good quality photo of your child's design (if you could take an up close photo of their design that would be great) then email them to myself at firstname.lastname@example.org by the 30th April. I will then collate them and send them off by email, the children could also add their first name and age to their design if they would like to for an extra touch.
Hope you are all keeping well and continue to stay safe.
