Sam's Sandwich

Sam's Sandwich by David Pelham.

If you have the book, great but if not watch the video. Listen to the story twice if needed before answering these questions about the book.

Write your answers on a piece of paper or print the sheet below.

1. What was your favourite part of the story? (include an adjective). e.g. My favourite part of the story was when Sam put in a wriggly worm.

2. Who are the two main characters. Start your sentence with 'They are'

3. Name two ingredients Samantha added to the sandwich. Start your sentence with 'She' and include 'and'

4. Name two ingredients Sam added to the sandwich.  Start your sentence with 'He' and include 'and'

Parents

Whilst reading see if your children can spot the rhyming words and adjectives (describing words).

Ask your child/ren to answer the questions verbally before writing them down.

Did they start the sentence with the appropriate sentence starters e.g my favourite part is, they are, he, she?

Have they included an adjective?

Did they use 'and'?

Once they have wrote the sentence ask them to check for captial letters/full stops and edit their work if needed.
