Good Morning Beech Class and welcome to yet another Monday!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend, despite the weather. Maddie and I are now experts at eating dinner while wrapped in blankets and sleeping bags; we are NOT going to be defeated! I am particularly proud, also, of the fact that the rain did not stop me from running yesterday. I looked like a drowned rat when I got home but I DID it, even though I was looking for all sorts of reasons to stay home and dry.
In Maths this week we are revising addition and subtraction of numbers with four digits or more. I have gone back to the trusty White Rose video clips. It means that the questions link directly to the lesson that you watch. Remember to rewind and re-watch as many times as you need.
Your writing builds on the persuasive texts that we looked at last week. (Thank you for the ones that you have sent me.) We are now taking it a step further and turning opinions into writing to discuss where an author is able to present two sides to an argument, often without actually sharing their own opinion.
If you didn't get very far with your research on The Parthenon Marbles (Friday's task), please keep going. The more information (especially different opinions about them) you have, the easier your task will be later this week.
Have a lovely day. Mine is going to be a bit strange; I will be teaching some of the Year 6 children who are returning to school, today. I am really looking forward to seeing them but I wish it was you!
Stay safe and be kind,
