As you know Maple Class, we have had a sighting of a T Rex in our classroom! This is breaking news and we must tell the world about it! Below I have attached some dinosaur writing pages for you to write from. Can you write words, a sentence or a few sentences to describe what happened? To help you when thinking about what to write, you could think about the following questions.... What did the dinosaur look like? Whereabouts was the sighting of the dinosaur? What colour was he? Did he take the egg?
Use your sound mat to help you to sound out the words you want to write, and to help you with any tricky words you might need to write too! Below are blank, half lined (where you can then draw a picture above) or fully lined pages for you to choose from. Choose what is best for you! You could use more than one page if you wish to make your very own dinosaur newspaper. You could also feature stories in your paper about the dinosaur egg and it going missing last week! Do as much as you feel is comfortable for you, whether it's some words, just one sentence, or more than one sentence. Mrs T and I can't wait to see your news reports! Remember if you don't have a printer, don't worry! You could use your own paper.
(Parents I have also attached below the guide I have written on writing in the Reception year if you would like to look at this again).
