Letter sound 'oo'
Today we are learning another new sound. Our new sound is 'oo.' This will be the last new sound that you will learn at home! Next time you learn a new sound we will be altogether at school! You have learnt so many new sounds at home, Mrs T, Geraldine and I have all been very proud.
Today I would like you to revise your Phase 2 and Phase 3 sounds by playing the 'Speed Trial Flashcards' game on Phonics Play. There are still some Phase 3 sounds that we are yet to learn, so don't worry if you don't know all of those just yet. I wonder how quick you will be today?
In my lesson today we had Geraldine's little brother 'George' joining us. George found some objects from around the house that featured 'oo.' Can you find anything else around your home? Can you write them down? Don't forget to practise writing 'oo' as well as our tricky word for the week 'all' too. I wonder if you can spot 'oo' in any words on Bug Club! You will also find below the 'oo' workbook, as well as the videos to support your learning of our new sound today.
Have fun learning all about 'oo!'
