Phonics

Today we are learning our new sound 'x.' Watch the video below to have a go at singing the Jolly Phonics song for 'x.' Don't forget the action too! For the action you have to pretend to take a picture with your finger. Can you have a go at writing our new sound 'x?' Below you will also find the video of Geraldine the Giraffe going around her house again, finding words that feature the 'x' letter. There aren't many things that begin with 'x' so we have to think of things that have the 'x' in the middle or at the end of the word. If you do think of any words that do begin with 'x' I would love to hear them! Below is also another workbook on 'x' if you would like to have a look at this too!

Jolly Phonics X

In Miss Baulcomb's lesson today, Geraldine found some things that were around the classroom that had the 'x' sound in. Did you have a go at writing the words down whilst you were watching the lesson of what Geraldine found?

How are you getting on with our tricky word 'be'? Yesterday we practised spelling the word with different pieces of paper cut up with the correct letters on. We mixed the letters all up and then had a go at seeing how many 'be's' we could spell. Here is our word below! What ways have you been practising tricky word 'be?'
