Letter sound 'sh'

Today we have learnt another new sound, the 'sh' sound. Today in my lesson Geraldine the Giraffe found some objects that featured the 'sh' sound. Below you can find the new song for 'sh' and Geraldine the Giraffe's video for 'sh.' Can you go around your home and find things that feature the 'sh' sound? It could be at the beginning of the word or at the end of the word. Can you use your Phonics to write down what you find? Remember to practise writing 'sh' today too and our new tricky word for the week 'are.' You will also find below the 'sh' workbook if you would like to look at this too! smiley

New tricky word 'are'

This week our new tricky word that we are going to look at is 'are.' How many different ways can you practise writing 'are' this week? Could it be with pebbles? In sand? Into flour? With post it notes? With Lego? With your pens and pencils? With your felt tip pens? There are so many different ways to practise this new tricky word. smiley
