Letter sound 'ee'
Today we are learning a brand new sound. Our new sound that we are learning today is 'ee.' Our new sound is a 'diagraph.' Do you remember what a diagraph means? It means that there are two letters together that make one sound. Well done if you remembered that! Today in my lesson we read some words, and spotted where the 'ee' sound was in the words. We then practised writing the 'ee' sound and looked at our new tricky word 'you.' Can you practise writing our new sound 'ee' and our new tricky word 'you' in different ways? Remember this could be done into flour, in shaving foam, in sand, with your felt tip pens, with pencils. There are so many fun ways to practise them! You will also find below a video to help you to remember your Phase 2 sounds (we revised our Phase 3 sounds in our lesson) as well as our new Jolly Phonics song for 'ee' and Geraldine the Giraffe's hunt around her home for things featuring 'ee.' If you would like to look at the 'ee' workbook too, you will also find that below too!
