Thursday

Today you are going to create a list poem using some of the words from the mind map you created yesterday.

A list poem doesn't have to rhyme and contains words only.

Have a look at the picture below to get an idea.

Your poem needs to include:

  • a drawing of a bee
  • stripes (these can then be your lines to write on)
  • write words to describe the bee (use your mind map to help you)

Challenge - Can you include any 'ing' words  in your poem?

Parents

A list poem does exactly as described and collects content in a list form.

They don't have a fixed rhyme or rhythmic pattern.

Remind your child/ren to think about bees and use their mind map from yesterday to support them.
