Me again, Beech Class!

Juliet's dad has been very observant and spotted a mistake in the Flashback 4 answers. How many of you can identify the question with the wrong answer? (It just goes to show that even 'experts' are human and make mistakes!)

Good Morning, again, Beech Class.

There seems to be a problem with the links to the maths video clip. If you find that you can't open it, you can try this route:

  • Open Oak Academy website
  • Click on Classroom
  • Click Find Lessons
  • Click Subject
  • Click Year 5
  • Click Maths
  • Click Lesson 6 (To Identify and Describe Reflections)

Fingers crossed wink

Good Morning Beech Class

OK....who ordered the rain?! It very nearly ruined Maddie and my plans to eat dinner outside but we found a way around the problem. During a slight lull in the downpour, we made use of the sun umbrella to keep ourselves dry while we ate our roast dinner! I am sure our neighbours were highly amused at the sight of us!

I have changed what I was planning to give you for maths today, as Oak Academy seem to sneakily throw in Year 6 work into their Year 5 video clips! Whilst I know that you are all capable of tackling it, I decided to swap the clip for one that covers another Year 5 objective. Any of you who had looked ahead will see that today's and tomorrow's clips have changed. I have also changed the links on the task sheet, so I have re-posted it today for anybody using the link to access the clip.

Your writing task, today is to begin creating your own persuasive article. It will be helpful, for you, to look back at everything we have done this week. Try out some of the features and ideas in order to make your writing as persuasive as possible.

Thank you for everything you have sent me. I am a bit behind on replying and posting work but please don't think that I am not very excited to see it all. I will catch up with myself over the next few days.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Mrs Kerrigan
