Thursday 7.01.21

Welcome Chestnuts, to Thursdays learning.

In English we are going to continue learning and using the language of persuasion.  Hopefully you will be able to join our Teams English lesson at 11.15 today and we will work through the tasks together. If not, all you need is the task which  is attached below and you can have a go at completing that.

Those of you that are joining in today  If you can print the task sheet you will find it a helpful guide for the lesson. Please do not worry If you cannot  it will not hinder your learning because we will guide you through the tasks.  .

Maths

Today 10 is the magic number and we are going to learn to divide by 10. Please watch the video and challenge yourself with the tasks on the worksheets and as always good luck and happy division!

Aut3.10.5 - Divide by 10

This is "Aut3.10.5 - Divide by 10" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Spellings

We are continuing to add suffixes to words and then you are to create a story using them. Enjoy, story tellers (spot the suffix on that word).

The Stone Age Topic

Please go back to Wednesday's task and create a cooking pot or work through the questions on the power point. Or:

Create A Stone Age Cave Model

During the Stone Age, people lived in caves. If you had to live in a cave what would you like it to look like and what would be in it? Be as creative and imaginative as you like! Maybe you could build your own 3D cave. Over the next week you can plan, design and build a cave model of your own, perhaps even asking for help from an adult to do this.

Today, plan and sketch your cave idea and start to collect card and other items from your home recycling that you might use to begin to create your own cave.....here are some images to inspire....happy cave designing.
