World Book Day!

Happy World Book Day! laugh

If you can, we would love for you to dress up today as one of your favourite book characters. We will then be having a Teams meeting at 11.30am this morning, which will give you the chance to showcase your costumes to each other. If you can't make that time, please send us a photo instead of your fabulous costumes! We would love to see them. If you are joining us on Teams we would still love to have a photo of you sent to us if possible. We can then put together a fun display of all of your different costumes up in the classroom when we are back at school next week. yes

Also in our Teams meeting today, we will be reading the story of 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff.' This is our fairy-tale focus for today, and attached below are some fun activities to go with this story for you to pick and choose from. There is a 'Three Billy Goats Activity Grid' below which has lots of different ideas you could do based around our fairytale for the day, as well as some resources too. Year 1 and Year 2 are also looking at 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' story today, so you could work together on some of the activities if you have siblings in these year groups! smiley

Below is a video of the story if you would like to watch this at home. If you have the story at home too - that's great! If you scroll down a little further you will also find a 'Pick 'n' Mix' grid for you to choose from with some additional World Book Day activities. You will also find a digital version of the £1 book token that can be redeemed for a book at participating book sellers. The details for this can be found on the book token.

Have a fun-filled World Book Day! heart
