Good Morning Beech Class
I just want to tell you how proud I am of all of the effort that you are showing to your work during lock -down. Yesterday, I was 'moaning' to Mrs Peck how I am 'literally drowning,' in the fabulous work that you are sending me and how I am so far behind in responding to all of you and getting it posted on the class page! We then had a look at just how much of your work we have received from you since school closed and it is mind-blowing! Thank you. I have many jobs to keep on top of at the moment, but working my way through all of your fantastic work is one that makes me smile. I am sure you can imagine the excited phone calls I make to Mrs Peck on a regular basis!
Today, we are going to start looking at Ancient Greek theatre and play scripts. I have posted an example of an Ancient Greek play. You don't need to print it all out. Just have a look at one page of it, as we are only looking at how it is similar or different to modern plays. The language is very old-fashioned, so trying to read it all the way through would be tricky.
Some of you will still be carrying on with your own extracts of play scripts, from yesterday, As always, that is fine. Go at your own pace with this work.
I have also posted a reading comprehension. I am sorry that it is sideways and a bit small on the page. It tested all of my technical skills to get it to you this morning! (Mrs Peck here Beech Class. Mrs Kerrigan should have asked the technical whizz of the class for help. I have put a clearer version of the reading comprehension lower down on the page. Hope to see you all soon. x)
Have a lovely day. Think of me, later, attempting to run in what looks like it is going to be hot temperatures!
