The Skylark Federation would like to appoint a new Head of School for Barcombe C of E school. The Skylark Federation is made up of three schools, Barcombe, Hamsey and Plumpton. We are seeking that special person who will support us in continuing to provide an excellent standard of education whilst driving school improvement forward. You will be an outstanding teaching and learning practitioner with the skills to translate this into higher standards and excellent attainment. The role will have a class teaching responsibility of two and a half days a week.

Working with our Executive Head Teacher, you will be responsible for translating a clearly articulated vision into action. You will help lead and manage the school day-to-day and work as part of a team in the strategic direction of the school.

Caretaker

We are looking for a caretaker to join our welcoming and friendly school at Iford and Kingston.

The school building is well laid out and has fantastic grounds.

The role of a caretaker is fundamental to our school and they are an important member of our team.  We are very sorry to see our caretaker/cleaner leave us after working with us for a number of years. 

The work could be carried out in the morning.  The contract is for 52 weeks a year less paid holiday.  The role is for 18 hours a week.  We are also appointing cleaners.  The responsibilities would include:

- Maintaining clean, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and grounds.

- Carrying out handy-person activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment and minor repairs.

- Maintain the general school premises, furniture and fittings and reporting any issues.

- Maintain the security of the school premises as the main key holder.

- Lock and unlock the premises as required.

- Carry out regular checks of premises equipment.

- Carry out and record health and safety checks.

 

We would love to welcome you to our school. All training and guidance will be provided for the successful candidate, including from the current caretaker so previous experience is not essential.  Specialist knowledge is not required.

This is a role with an East Sussex permanent contract which includes holiday pay and a pension.

Cleaner

We are looking for a cleaner to join our welcoming and friendly school at Iford

and Kingston. Iford and Kingston is a village primary school that is quite modern.

The role of a cleaner is crucial to our school and they are an important member of

our team. We are very sorry to see our caretaker/cleaner leave us after working with

us for a number of years.

The work could be carried out in the morning or the evening. The contract is for

term time and some holiday deep cleaning. 

 

We would love to welcome you to our school. All training and guidance will be

provided for the successful candidate.

This is a role with an East Sussex permanent contract which includes holiday pay

and a pension.

The hours of work are 12.00 noon until 1.00pm as a lunchtime assistant.

The successful candidate will support our children as they eat lunch and as they play.  We will provide you with any relevant training needs.

Iford and Kingston School has seven classes.  We are in a lovely setting but an easy commute from Lewes and other areas.

We are looking for a resourceful person to be a teaching assistant in the morning, a lunchtime assistant, a teaching assistant in the afternoon and then lead after school club.  This would be a total of 38.75 hours over a week.  This is a term time only position but you would be paid some holiday pay and pension is included.

The successful candidate will support learning and contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities, working alongside the teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to advance pupils learning in a range of ways, including

working with individuals and small groups. We will provide you with any relevant training needs.

Iford and Kingston School are seeking a Teaching Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and friendly village school at Kingston, Lewes. We have friendly and engaged families, happy children who are keen to do their best.

Kindness permeates all aspects of school life at our school.

 

The hours of work are 8.30am until 12.00 noon as a teaching assistant and then 1.00pm until 3.30pm as a higher level teaching assistant covering PPA sessions. The successful candidate will demonstrate warmth and kindness, be able to

support learning and contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities, working alongside the teacher in the morning. We will provide you with any relevant training.
