This is a part time, four days a week permanent leadership position.

The ideal candidate will:

* be a qualified teacher with the knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with special educational and behavioural needs;

* have a proven record of successful leadership at senior or middle level;

* have experience of leading and managing staff in developing and implementing effective provision for vulnerable pupils;

* be a rigorous and committed professional who is ambitious for the federation and its pupils;

* remain resilient through challenges;

* have a good knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education statutory guidance;

* have the interpersonal skills necessary to inspire and lead others;

* have the capacity to develop and promote our vision for inclusion.

Full time teaching assistant and lunchtime supervisor
Skylark Federation are looking for a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor to join our welcoming and friendly village school at Iford and Kingston. We have friendly and engaged families, happy children who are keen to do their best and a positive, supportive working environment. The hours of work are 7.45am until 12.00noon as a teaching assistant, 12.00noon until 1.00pm as a lunchtime supervisor, 1.30pm until 5.30pm as a teaching assistant Monday to Thursday and then until 3.00pm on a Friday.
 
The successful candidate will support learning and contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities, working alongside the teachers. The successful candidate will be expected to advance pupils learning in a range of ways, including working with individuals and small groups. We will provide you with any relevant training needs. The early start is to run the breakfast club providing a simple breakfast and activities for the children. The time from after school until 5.30pm is for running the after school club which will include craft, games and other activities.
 
We are a popular group of schools and we would love to welcome you to our Federation. We are in a lovely setting with an easy commute from Lewes and other areas.

The salary for the lunchtime position is £22,366 and for the teaching assistant position it is £23,114.  Both of these will be paid pro-rata.
