Week 2

Hello Maple class children and parents!

Firstly can I say a huge thank you to parents for the amazing home learning that has been happening at home. It has been so lovely to see what your children have been up to via Tapestry and I have loved logging on each day to see what has been going on. It's been lovely to see you all so busy and enjoying lots of family time together heart thank you for uploading all of this onto Tapestry - it has made my day each day to see the many photos, videos and comments that you have been making smiley

I am going to continue with the fairytale theme, and this week have provided some activities that you can do based around 'The Gingerbread Man.' Please do not feel you have to move on to these activities if you are enjoying 'The Three Little Pigs.' However if you would like a new fairytale to look at, here are some more ideas on the classic story of 'The Gingerbread Man.'

As an extra addition to support with Phonics and Maths, I will upload some Phonics activities daily from 'Geraldine the Giraffe!' (Our giraffe friend that we use in class to support with our Phonics learning) as well as some daily Maths activities (this week's focus will be on 'repeated patterns' - which will include a small task on this task each day). Please click on the appropriate day below to access the daily Phonics and Maths activities.

As before, please do not see these activities as a checklist - these activities are there for you to do if you can, even if it is just a few! I have also uploaded onto this page some other attachments based around the story of 'The Gingerbread Man' from mindfulness colouring, songs you could sing, a science experiement, a gingerbread man board-game and others. Please do have a look and print them out as you wish.

I will continue to log onto Tapestry regularly, and I will look forward to seeing you on there soon if you can :)

Continue to stay safe and healthy.

Love Miss Baulcomb
