Hello Maple Class and Parents
Well done again on working so hard on all of your learning. This week and for the rest of the term I have decided to go with a slightly different theme of 'under the sea,' which fits nicely with our topics of Pirates (because as we all know.... Pirates like to sail the seas!) I have chosen a new story for this week called 'Rainbow Fish.' Last week I had said I would carry on with the story of 'Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs' so please do carry on to look at that story if you wish, but I decided to change my plan slightly and base this week around sea creatures and the story of the 'Rainbow Fish.' If you don't have this story at home to read, you can listen to the story of the 'Rainbow Fish' below.
The usual daily Phonics and Math's activities are again featured below as normal with a slight change to the Phonics format. There will now be a 'writing challenge' alongside the usual Phonics activities. I have also included below under the letter formation section a 'tricky word' booklet that you may wish to complete across the week to help to revise those tricky words that we have learnt so far.
Please also find below a page of weekly ideas and activities that you can dip in and out of if you wish (art activities, etc) alongside some additional resources. For this week's letter formation practice we will be going back to the curly caterpillar letters!
I hope you have another lovely week and enjoy the story of the 'Rainbow Fish.'
Love Miss Baulcomb and Mrs T
