Hi Willow Class,
I hope you are all well and managed to have a lovely weekend even though the weather wasn't quite as nice. We had a nice relaxed weekend and watched 'Tangled', but Florence was a bit scared of the horse!
You've been doing such a great job with your home schooling. I love seeing the work that you've done! Keep it up
I look forward to seeing you all soon,
Mrs Stonehouse

We've looked at how the /l/ or /əl/ sound can be spelt '-le' and '-el'. Now we are going to look at when it's spelt with a '-al'.
Potential activities:
Match Up: Cut some pieces of paper into rectangles to make smaller pieces of paper. Then write each of your spelling words on to two different pieces of paper. Turn all the pieces of paper upside down and mix them up. Flip them over two at a time. Read each card out loud to see if they match. Keep them if they match, or flip them back over and try again
Words Within Words: Write each of your spelling words and then write at least two words made from the same letters that are hidden within your word. e.g. slide - side, lid, lie, led etc.
Project
This week in English we are going to be looking at a picture called, 'Starry Night' by van Gogh so our project this week is to find out about constellations.
What are they?
Where can you find them?
Can you name any of them?
