Message from a parent about World Book Day.
On World Book Day, I wanted to say a big thank you to the sch for everything you do to support reading and general enthusiasm in literature. I have seen some stuff in the press this week about dressing up on World Book Day detracting from reading and I have to say, in our household it has been quite the opposite. The enthusiasm has been overwhelming.
I also wanted to say thank you for holding the Book Fair a few weeks ago. Dolly chose a chapter book from there that has been an absolute hit. We are now on book three and she is loving it. It made such a difference that she could choose it independently.
